The life of three Syrian artists living in Lebanon: three stories linked by art, music, displacement, nostalgia, and the uncertainty of returning to the motherland… and words unspoken. Where do they come from? When is the return? And will it be possible after all this absence? Is exile their destiny or will they be deported back to other cities of the cold West?

Dima Al-Joundi was born in 1966 in Lebanon. She graduated in philosophy in Lebanon and obtained a diploma in film editing from INSAS, Brussels. Since 1988 she has directed many documentaries and films, including "The mother refugees”, about Syrian, Iraqis and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and the doc “ Echoes of the shadows” for Al-Jazeera channel. Since 1999, the has been director manager of the company Crystal Films, a Film Distribution and Production company. She directed several festival, including the Francofone and European Film Festival: "Cine caravane” in Lebanon (2001-2003). She was professor of the Master degree in Film and TV production at ALBA university, Lebanon.
