Two years after the dramatic choice of Bouazizi to set himself on fire in Sidi Bouzid, so igniting the protests of the Arab Spring, women are the protagonists of the search for a real social change. Shot in southern Tunisia, the documentary shows the experiences of women from the memory of the days of the revolution to today’s hopes. Young women working to create new associations, intellectuals and political activists, workers exploited in the fields. In the background, the current complexity of the Tunisian social reality and the activism of these women to build the present and a different future.
The documentary is produced by GVC and Ya Basta within the project "Périphérie Active", co-financed by European Commission for supporting the democratic transition in Tunisia and the respect for human rights.
Ludovica Alberti, filmmaker and media activist, manages for four years the Web tv Sherwood.it. She is a live events director and assistant director in short films and video clips, as well as operator and editor of video spots. "TraSguardi in Rivoluzione" is her first work as director.
Enrica Magoni is a political activist engaged in environmental protection and for the rights related to migration and gender differences. She participated, among others, in the movement “NO Dal Molin” in Vicenza, in opposition to the construction of the American military base.
Anna Clementi works mainly in journalism and, due to her experience in the Middle East between Syria and Palestine, she writes articles and reports from the Arab world for various newspapers and magazines.
