STARBUCKS UNFILTERED
LUC HERMANN E GILLES BOVON | 2019 | FRANCIA | 53'
Starbucks is now part of the daily life of thousands of people. Like McDonald's, its 22,000 coffee shops in 67 countries have made it a recognizable symbol of globalization. This investigative report explores the brand's appeal, what made its success and reveals the dark side of the coffee giant. From seemingly fair-trade coffee to environmental threats, from market saturation to the harsh working conditions of baristas, this in-depth-investigation aims to raise awareness of the implication of the green mermaid’s coffee.
