“Two At The Border” is a short documentary portrait about two human smugglers from Syria and Palestine at the border between Turkey and Greece. Their job gets increasingly difficult as greek and european authorities strengthen the porous border by a 13 km fence and by thousands of officers, trying to barricade the EU against illegal immigration. Ultimately, it all looks pretty abysmal for both the men and their mostly syrian clients.

Tuna Kaptan was born of Turkish parentage in Munich. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Theatre and Romance Studies, he gained experience in numerous film and theatre projects in Germany (Fatih Akin), Argentina, Burkina Faso, Tunisia and Turkey. Since 2010 he’s studying film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich.

Felicitas Sonvilla was born in 1988 in Vienna/Austria. After obtaining a Bachelor of the Arts in Film and Media Studies in 2010, she started studying Documentary Film Directing at the University of Film And Television Munich the same year. She is co-founded of the film collective MOTEL.
