PARADIS FISCAUX: LE CASSE DU SIECLE
EDOUARD PERRIN, BENOIT BRINGER
FRANCE | 2015 | 56’
Benoit Bringer and Edouard Perrin, journalists, have investigated “Panama Papers” documents, revealing a complex dissimulation process of billions of euros. They highlight the key role of business lawyers in the design of these tax avoidance and money-laundering schemes. From Panama to Switzerland, from the United States to Luxembourg, they trace the trails of this huge cash-hiding system: a huge financial scandal on a global scale.
Benoît Bringer, born in 1979, is a French investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker based in Paris. He started his career as a reporter for the French public channel France 2. In 2007 he left France 2 to work as a news correspondent in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He is an independent filmmaker. Edward Perrin, 44 years old, is a journalist and director of investigative documentaries. He works at France 2 since 1998. They both are member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and part of the journalists' team investigating on “Panama Papers”.
