Illegal immigration brings with it a painful consequence: the separation of migrants from their family. This document ary comes from the desire to unite, even if only through a camera, a family that has long hoped to be reunited. Filming two families separated by the Mediterranean, the author tells the theme of migration from a different point of view.
Gonzalo Ballester, born in 1982, is the author of several short films and documentaries, including Mimoune, winner of 15 awards at various international festivals. In 2006 he participated in Prix de la Jeunesse at the Cannes Film Festival. "The Molky Way", made in Iran, won ten awards, while his latest short, "La Ciudad" (Al-Madina) was presented to Manifesta8, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, and selected at the Malaga Film Festival.
