In Cinquina – Roman suburbs – lives a community similar to the Parisian banlieues. The stories and the looks of the second generation migrant kids of the neighborhood tell us about the hopes arising from their disadvantaged condition, metaphorically represented by the birth of Alisya.

Simone Amendola, Rome, 1975. Filmmaker and writer. Since 2003 he directs short films, documentaries and video art. He has worked with Citto Maselli and Ken Loach. Between 2009 and 2010 his first feature film – the docu-film “Quando combattono gli elefanti”- and the documentary “Alisya nel paese delle meraviglie” have come out and they have been selected and awarded in several festivals.
