AFTER 1437 YEARS - 36 MINUTES
TANIA RAOUF
IRAQ | 2016 | 36’
The coming of ISIS has been dealt with through various ideological responses throughout the world. One of these, in Iraqi Kurdistan, is the resurrection of an ancient, pre-Islamic religion, of Zoroastrianism. In what some Kurds call the ‘preservation’ of their culture and a return to their ethnic roots, this documentary will explore the questions and accusations surrounding the rise of this ancient religion and it’s true purpose and place in Kurdish society.
Tania Raouf, was born in 1963 in north of Iran. Since the age of 14, she has been involved in political activities.
