SOMETHING IN THE WATER (HOW THE WATER FLOWS IN BOSNIA ERZEGOVINA)

Bosnia Herzegovina is under the pressure of public debt and the only solution for local government, is the sale of the national natural resources, especially water. Over the next five years we will see the construction of more than 200 hydroelectric plant. The population does not agree and is not informed in the matter of this territorial planning. The documentary face the problem through interviews with local activists and with and an Italian hydropower experts.

 

Sandro Mehic was born in Bihac, Bosnia Herzegovina from father soldier and mother economist. At 18, after the linguistic high school he moved to Florence to attend the faculty of Computer Engineering. He collaborates with Engineers Without Borders in international cooperation projects. In spring 2014 he organizes a mission for a new cooperation project in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the issue of sustainable development and environmental protection.
