This short film animation/film was created by students who were asked to produce a motion piece related to the theme Sustainable Development. The students decided to address the issue of waste on beaches, trying to encourage 14-17 year olds to recycle their waste. They worked with two school pupils, Dylan and Jack from Braeview Academy in Dundee to produce the models used in the film. This work was a collaboration between Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, One World Centre and Braeview Academy.

This work has been produced by my students, currently level 2 of an undergraduate degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee, Scotland. I am submitting this film on their behalf but unfortunately don’t have their personal details. Laura Geyer, is one of the students and her bio is as follows: I am a 2nd year Graphic Design Student at Duncan of Jordanstone. I spent two years traveling after finishing school but always knew I wanted to go to art school. I was drawn to the subject of Graphic Design because of its versatility and its potential to work in different mediums such as film and photography. I love to push the boundaries of a brief and explore new ways of working. My favourite projects have been when I have stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new.
