In Cuba a custom is to honor with busts and sculpture José Martí. Today many of his busts are made of plastic, through a complex industrial process. Due to this production system,  Martì becomes tedious and invisible.

Ernesto Sánchez Valdés (1983 ) worked as an assistant director on several films and documentaries, produced by ICAIC ( Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos ) and other producers. He is concluding his studies in Direction at the Facoltà di Arte dei Mezzi di Comunicazione Audiovisiva  at the Istituto Superiore d'Arte (FAMCA).

Sparring Partners is an initiative that enhances the technical and professional capacities of young filmmakers in Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic . The project is funded by the European Union and managed by GVC.
