From the peaks of the Andes in Argentina to the dangerous savannah in Kenya, through the Moroccan desert and the treacherous swamps of South India, we can follow the lives of four children united by the desire of going to school and learning. Like millions of other children in the world, they have the dream of escaping the trap of poverty through education but every day they have to overcome obstacles, pitfalls and perils to reach schools.
French director and documentary filmmaker, Pascal Plisson has directed sports and adventure's reportage set in the American continent for the CBS television channels, France 2 and Canal +. He has realized, among other documentaries, "Australie 50° de solitude" (1996), "Le mistères de Clipperton" (2005) and "Safari" (2009). His first feature film "Massai, les guerriers de la pluie", dates back to 2003. "Sur le chemin de l'école" was presented at the Locarno Film Festival in 2013.

Schermi e lavagne is a project of moving image education organized and promoted by Cineteca di Bologna and is aimed at children and young people. For each age group there are different program activities that point at make viewers conscious and passionate, able to prove their skill of judgment and critical autonomy in the forest of images in which we are plunged every day.
