Juan, a Spanish man, has been in jail in Egypt for 17 years. Over the course of this time, he has written two poetry books, got married, had a daughter and maintained the hope that he might one day return to Spain. A team of reporters visits the prison to interview him, without knowing that something awful is about to happen.

Aitor Iturriza graduated in Audiovisual Communication in 1989, from University Carlos III in Madrid. He has worked on around 20 short films as an assistant director, screenwriter or director. In 2011 he filmed the documentary “Pilolu” in India and directed a project of the same name, which began in 2011 and is due to be completed in 2021.

Bernat Gual graduated in 1977. After pursuing studies in advertising, he began to work for various media groups as a copywriter and editor of news programmes. He has written and directed numerous documentaries. In 2012 he completed a Masters in filmmaking at the cinema school ESCAC, where he directed his first shorts, “En primera clase” and “Quiero”.
