"Lettere Italiene", web series produced by COSPE and L'occhio e la Luna, is focused on different stories about citizenship having as main characters new Italian citizens: migrants nowadays living, studying and working in Italy. The project, realized in partnership with the Italian review Internazionale, is based on the book "Nuove Lettere Persiane", a collection of fourteen letters written by authors coming from different countries.
"Il richiamo dell'Autogrill", based on the story of Gabriela Pentelescu, describes our country seen by a Romenian girl living in Florence since many years.
"Le Longobarde", based on the story written by Akio Takemoto, describes us a racism "next door" through the story of two flatmates living with an Indian guy.
The Florentine director Federico Micali, born in 1971, realizes many documentaries: one of the most important are "Genova senza risposte" focused on the G8 Summit in Genoa (Italy) and presented in preview at Venezia Off in 2002, "Firenze città aperta" and the rewarded "Nunca Mais" on the ecological disaster of Prestige tanker on Galicia coasts. He realizes also "99 Amaranto" and "Cinema Universale d'Essai", presented in preview at Festival dei Popoli in Florence.
Yuri Parrettini, born in 1973, is specialized in editing and video post-production. He works on several spots and advertisements and participates as editor to the documentaries "99 Amaranto", "Cinema Universale d’Essai" and "La Nostra Terra". As an author, he is the director of the short movie "Il Morso della Montagna" and of the documentary "Malasuerte 31". Together with Federico Micali he realizes "L’ultima Zingarata", a tribute to Mario Monicelli's "Amici miei".
