Filippo Ortona and Michele Monni | Lebanon/Italy | 2018 | 24’
(Out of competition)
Syrian families who for years have resided in the Bekaa Valley, in the north of Lebanon on the border with Syria, are the protagonists of the documentary "Border Families. Surviving in the Bekaa Valley “. The directors Michele Monni and Filippo Ortona, are journalists who spent several months in Lebanon as EU Aid Volunteers." The need was to give voice to Syrian refugees whose life, distorted by war, continues today in Lebanon, despite everything", declared Filippo and Michele.
The documentary, produced by GVC, wants to draw attention to this situation, in which it is difficult to speak of emergency after 6 years, but does not mean that there is no need for support in an area, that of the Bekaa Valley, which welcomes as many as 40% of Syrian refugees in the country.
At the screening will be present the director Michele Manni
