For Sarra, a young middle class girl from Tunis, everything, on the surface, is going as her mother planned : she is taking sewing lessons and she is soon going to get married to a good boy. But Sarra is hiding a dangerous plan with which she wishes to escape her current life.

In this edition of the Terra di Tutti Film Festival, Black Mamba will compete for the Coop Award.

Amel Guellaty

She is a Tunisian photographer and director. After studying law at the Sorbonne, between 2009 and 2017, she directed two short documentaries, "Born in the Spring" and "Les éboueurs de la mer". In 2017, she made her first professional short fiction, "Black Mamba". The film has been selected in many international festivals and won several prizes like “The Golden foal“ and “Thomas Sankara’s award“ in Fespaco; the Grand prize, the Best fiction prize and the Best actress prize in Rencontres du Film Court in Madagascar; the Best film prize and the Best actor prize in Jordan International Film Festival; the Best short film in Sotchi International Film Festival and Awards; the Jury award in Malmö Arab Film Festival; the Prix de la Francophonie in Dakar Court.
