ROBERTO CANNAVÒ
ITALIA | 2017 | 35'
Bologna 2016. Ayoub moves well within the stove, he learns new things and looks to the future; Simone talks about complicated relationships while showing his own drawings; Faki thinks about the future and how to build it; in the background the voice of Kamal, who’s rapping his life in verses. These are pieces of the new lives in the juvenile prison of Pratello. The first part tells about their existences, the untold on the crimes, the spiral path that led them to the first crime, to the imprisonment, to the process of recovery. Teenagers, doubly suspended between detention and anticipation of adulthood. With them, the new references of their lives: the staff of the prison.
Roberto Cannavò was born in Messina in 1990. He graduated from the Dams of Bologna in 2013 with a thesis on the history of special effects. He has collaborated on the realization of the short film "A Song for the Future" (2015) by Lorenzo Comilli. In 2015 he was technician for the show Magna Grecia, made by Emir Kusturica, Lorenzo Comilli and Paolo Abraham. Several collaborations to journalistic products: from the Alma Mater University of Bologna to the Uisp Emilia-Romagna, who produced with him, as debutant director, "The first Time" documentary on the juvenile prison of Pratello.
