2306 is the room number of one of the 199.000 shared flats in Beijing, China. 2306 is one of the 36 rooms built within a two floors building. Four people live in this room of 50 m²: Li just moved there to save money in rent and bills, Yang is the oldest standing tenant, Ji moved there because it’s the place where he met his ex-girlfriend and Lu arrived only 3 months before. Room prices in Beijing drastically increased recently. It’s an everyday fight for survival and against social injustice. Despite their living conditions, young inhabitants of Beijing struggle to love. As one of them report in the documentary “It doesn’t matter how you live if your youth becomes a chaos”.
