He has visited another land, another sea, convinced to find a better city, without realizing that his city would be his travelling partner. Despite the search for something different in this new city, he finds himself in the identical suburbs in which he was born and brought up. The text La città of Constantin Cavafis is the fil rouge of the return to the place of origin of a Moroccan migrant that has lived in Spain from 2010 to 2011.

Gonzalo Ballester, class 1982, is the author of numerous short films and documentaries, among which is Mimoune, winner of 15 awards in diverse international festivals. With the opportunity of a scholarship at Siena obtained in 2003, he travels often to Venice, producing La Serenissima, a documentary nominated for the Goya award 2007. In 2006 he participated at Prix de la Jeunesse at the Cannes Festival. The Molky Way, realized in Iran, won 10 awards, while his last short film, La Ciudad (Al-Madina) has been presented at Manifesta8, La Biennale Europea di Arte Contemporanea and has been selected at the Malaga Film Festival.
