Inside Kabul
Edoardo Marino | 2010 | Afghanistan | 26’
In the past thirty years Afghanistan has been marked by war: the Russian occupation, the war man's power, the infiltration of the Taleban movement from Pakistan, the Anglo-American occupation. Since then the country’s destiny is not so clear; instead the consequences of this trickle are very well defined: 50% of the Afghani population is underage and the majority is orphan, 98% of women is illiterate, average life is 45 years old, 96% of the opium on the world market is produced in this country. Inside Kabul tells the story of Afghani life from a point of view which is quite different from the mainstream media’s one, offering evidence of women’s associations which deal with literacy and professional training, orphanages, radio and Afghani media, daily life. Inside Kabul was shot in June 2010 in Kabul as a support to the activities of the CooperAction Onlus Association from Rome and Afghani associations.
