E' il tempo delle zucchine – indagine sugli orti in città
Collettivo Trame Urbane | 2012 | Italy | 25’
Agricultural activity is much more diffused within urban areas than we could imagine, in the south as well as in the north of the world. Even in the city of Bologna this activity has been present for some time. Despite urban, social and cultural changes occurred in time, urban agriculture has never really left the city. Nevertheless today we assist to a return, maybe more symbolic than real. To the by now “historical” communal gardens of the retirees there sums up a great number of realities and experiences that today contribute to render the panorama of urban cultivation compound and varied. A practice which allows us to satisfy a great number of needs, expectations and motivations and that in the last instance permits the urban citizens to live under a new light the relationship between their own natural environment and social environment.
Trame Urbane is a Bolognese collective, on the trail of the experiences in guerrilla gardening, sensible to the reappropriation of space and the creation of urban gardens from below, in the conventions that these could become a new place of relations. In diverse ways all those who participate in the project Trame urbane/Guerilla Gardening are occupied in new forms of urban resistance and farming and in new modes of creation of space, society and conviviality. È il tempo delle zucchine is the first audio-visual work in the collective Trame Urbane.
