Donne che rifiutano la morte
Mohamed Kenawi | 2012 | Qatar/Italy | 44’
Donne che rifiutano la morte is not a movie about the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but about the survivors of the war, living in a painful reality and facing the mourning, the loss of their rights and of their identity and the poverty. Many women refused this death, they rebel in order to guarantee a dignified life for them and for the others. This movie offers us personal stories of women having lived the war, a document revealing the pain memory depicting the daily practices through which the suffering is revised.
Mohamed Kenawi, born in Egypt in 1972, has a degree in Italian language and literature obtained at Cairo University in Egypt.
