Elisa Mereghetti
Graduated in Interdisciplinary Studies at the Empire State College (NY, 1984) she attended universitary courses on antropological cinema and Tv Production (New School of Social Research e New York University).Film maker has directed more than 40 documentaries, focusing especially on antropological issues, on women condition and on the development of the South of the world. She is co-founder of ETHNOS, Indipendent TV production company in Bologna. Her documentary “Eyes Wide Open” based on the story of Catherine Phiri and on the matter of AIDS parentless in Malawi has received the support of the Media Plus programm of the European Community, and is dedicated to the UN campains “Africa 2015 – Millenium Goals”. She has directed for the UNDP and on the russian education system. Among his works the prizewinners ““Le acque di Chenini” (2009); “Passi leggeri” (2009); “In Tel Fade. Punti di Vista sull’Appennino Reggiano” (2010).
Carlos Guimaraes
Brazilian political scientist and journalist, current executive director of ACC –Consorcio de Cooperación, a group of 4 Spanish NGOs that promote a new culture of international cooperation and education for development. Specialist in education and communication for development. Collaborator of several publications in Brazil, Mexico and Spain. Assistant teacher in the Interuniversitary Master in Culture of Peace, Conflicts, Education and Human rights, of the universities of Granada, Cordova, Malaga and Cadiz. Assistant teacher of the course in Communication and Local Development (University of Seville).Ex-coordinator of “La Imagen del Sur Social Film Festival”, in Spain, and of the European project Tierra de Todos, that opened space of exhibition for social documentaries in 6 European festivals. Promoter of the Group of Cordova, a producers’ network of social cinema from Latin America, Africa and Asia. Scriptwriter of documentaries and member of the jury of several Festivals. Co-author of books on communication, politics and international relations.
Andrea Morini
A Modern History graduate, he has been in charge of cinema programming for the Bologna Municipality Cinematheque since 1984. He has organized many retrospectives and personal seasons of works by contemporary auteurs and filmmakers. He is author and curator of publications on contemporary cinema and has held seminars on History of the Cinema and Managing of Cultural Events in Italian and foreign institutions. In 2004 he was made a Knight of Arts by the French Ministry of Culture.
Giorgio Tinelli
Born in the Marche region, he moved to Bologna in 1984. He graduated in Political Sciences and today he’s a researcher at the EuropeanCenter for Democratization Studies (CESDE), and teaches “Political Development Theories” an university course concerning political transitions in Latin America. He’s the Italian responsible for the International Relations Master Course “Europe-Latin America”, at theBologna University, Buenos Aires local office; and collaborates with many post-graduate courses and with several magazines in Italy and abroad. He is particularly interested in those themes related to Latin America situation, and in the issues related to the southern part of the world.
Special Prize
In this third edition, for the first time, six members of the Council for foreign citizens of the Province of Bologna will collaborate to the Festival, bestowing a special prize.
The Council of foreign citizens of the Province of Bologna is a special representative institution, with consultative and proposing functions, and it is the first institution of this kind in Italy. It is composed of 30 members, elected on December the Second, 2007 by more than 9000 electors, with a vote participation of about the 21 per cent of the entitled population.

Special Mention – Prize Benedetto Senni
The Association of Social Promotion “Premio Benedetto Senni” was born to promote and broaden the knowledge of issues based on the development, in memory of the agronomist Benedetto Senni. The Association aims to assign periodically a prize to person or organisations which operate in development fields.
Benedetto Senni
Born in Roma in 1948, from 1990 has worked abroad, particularly in Africa. He has elaborated development projects for NGOs and International Cooperation Agencies (especially COSPE and FAO). In the last years he put his efforts on Food Security issues and on interventions on behalf of the management of natural resources in Sahel. He died in 1994.
2010 – 10th Edition of the Prize
The prize valuated 1000 euros, this year will be assigned to a documentary selectioned among a selection of documentaries which have taken part at the first four editions of the TTFF. The documentary has to face the Soustainable development theme and of Food Sovereignity in Africa.
