An outlook on the core values of a farming community in Huancabamba in Peru. "Laguna Negra" shows the conflict culminated in 2005 with the revolt of thousands of peasants against an English mining company and the arrest of 30 of them. This documentary is about those days seen through the daily lives of two peasants in the region: a community under threat by mining on large scale and by the imposition of a high capital intensity development model in a society based on traditional values.
