Dakarapide

Dakarapide is a homage to the capital of Senegl and the "car rapides", its popular collective transports. Through the voices of its people, we discover a kaleidoscopic Dakar, where identities coexist and weave in an unastable balance among tradition, decadence postcoloniale and modernity.
Moving us from a bank to the other of the city, the cars rapideses slowly disclose the reality of a strong transformation of forms and colors; from the modern buildings of the center, along the roads, the new residential districts are grazed, risen beside swarming outskirts, in order to reach sandy and forgotten suburbs. Another characteristic of the city is the garage of "Lat Dior", a road in which every day, mechanics, apprentices, drivers, decorators make their living thanks to the economic micro-system around the cars rapides.
