Tinerii Dunarii - i ragazzi del Danubio

The short video Tinerii Dunerii – The kids from Danube - was produced in the framework of the project EU4ALL - Europe for all: building up an inclusive European citizenship, financed by the European Union within the programme “Europe for citizens”.
The documentary was designed and produced during a 7-days event in Giurgiu.
During the journey some Italian teenagers from Bologna and surroundings and some youngsters from Romania participated in a workshop to share their opinions on the European citizenship concept and the promotion of a joint perspective on Europe and its issues based on the local reality of Giurgiu.
Giurgiu is a small town at the borders with Bulgaria, where GVC works since 2002 in projects for the fight of social exclusion, above all for children and youngsters without parents protection in the same county, in collaboration with the General direction for the Social Assistance and Protection for Children and other social actors.
The teenagers participated in a workshop to learn how to use the camera, with the support of the Association Pereira. Then they spread through Giurgiu to interview several young citizens.
The output of the workshop is a short documentary telling the dreams and opportunities of young people from Romania, going beyond the stereotypes that still today do not do justice to Romania image and its people.
The methodology gave the possibility to socialize and work in groups, telling this European corner, with its attractions, features and issues.
The documentary will be presented at the Terra di Tutti Film Festival not only by the Italian young participants of the workshop, but also by some representatives of the Romanian youngsters.
After the projection, the youngsters will present their experience in Romania and there will be also a seminar, which will be a cultural Exchange to be in contact with different cultures of the world in a multicultural context such as the Terra di Tutti Film Festival.
The project was implemented with the support of the Ufficio di Piano di Casalecchio and the social cooperative CSAPSA. The European project partners which collaborated to the implementation of the activities are ART Fusion, APEL, CIC BATA and COSPE.
