A journey trough three maya communities living in the highest Sierra in Guatemala. A collective and communitary document that affirms the existence of another history, that one of a parte of the civil population that was able to organize itself and resist to the violence organized from the State of Guatemala to crush the indigenous and peasant movement. It has been assimilated to the armed struggle between guerrilla and the army. Women’s and elderly words that lived war and the repression by the army in the firs 80s. A document on memories of the genocide and on sharing that memory with the new generations. Nearli all witness are in Ixhil language, one of the 23 maya languages of Guatemala.
