Tamàs Gàbeli
born in Budapest in 1972, he got a diploma at the Hunfalvy János Secondary School of Economics in 1992. In 1998 he started to study at the Polifil Technicum where he qualified as a film director. In the year 2000, together with an American friend, he founded the magazine: “The look”. In September 2001 he directed his first movie “Beyond the World, Beyond”. In 2002 he founded the Polifilm Workshop Foundation of which he became president. The aim of the association is to help young film directors in their work. In August 2003 he organized a film festival for young film directors, “under 30”. At the end of 2004 he stepped down as president of Polifilm and founded the Gombolyag Foundation which aims to create an open-air school in Gombolyag.
Andrea Morini
A Modern History graduate, he has been in charge of cinema programming for the Bologna Municipality Cinematheque since 1984. He has organized many retrospectives and personal seasons of works by contemporary auteurs and filmmakers. He is author and curator of publications on contemporary cinema and has held seminars on History of the Cinema and Managing of Cultural Events in Italian and foreign institutions. In 2004 he was made a Knight of Arts by the French Ministry of Culture.
Enza Negroni
Born in Bologna in 1962, she works in Bologna and Rome as a film director. She also wrote the feature film “Jack Frusciante é uscito dal gruppo”. She has directed various medium-length films and documentaries, including, “Misterioso” with Stefano Benni ,“Le acque dell’anima” with Byorrn Larsson, “Istanbul, la città narrata” with Nedim Gursel, produced by Movie Movie, “Mambo” and “Il museo della memoria delle Vittime della Strage di Ustica”, “Il museo Mambo “, “Adottando a Tuzla”, “ Il ponte leggero” produced by Proposta Video. In 2008 she made “ La mia bologna in mercedes” produced by Cineteca di Bologna and a documentary called “Globalization Light“ about a suburb of Bologna.
Cristina Piccino
Born in Roma where she still lives, then an "escape" to Bologna to study cinema and theater led to her work with "Manifesto" where she is an editor for the page “Visioni dagli anni Novanta”. She also works on various magazines, catalogues and books. Recently she edited (with Laura Buffoni) the monography dedicated to Peter Whitehead, an English” rebel” filmmaker in the Sixties’(London Whitehead. “Cinema musica rivoluzione", Derive&Approdi) and a book about Eyal Sivan, an Israeli non-conformist movie director (with Luca Mosso, "Eyal Sivan, il cinema di un'altra Israele", Agenzia X). She is a consultant for the Bellaria Film festival, which is dedicated to documentaries. She is part of the scientific committee for the new Solinas Prize for creative documentary screenwriting
