Meeting with the author

The plan to expand Israeli settlements in the West Bank has never stopped. After years of non-violent resistance to the Zionist plan, today the new generation of Palestinian youth has taken the baton from its parents and fights to defend the survival of its people.

Youth Of Sumud / شباب صمود is the student collective, of which the young Samuha is an active part, who has occupied a cave in the middle of the desert in an area surrounded by Israeli outposts.

Eight years after the presentation of the documentary Tomorrow's Land, SMK Videofactory has returned to At-Tuwani and met the children of that time, now young adults, to collect their testimonies. During the evening will be presented the new documentary project that tells the life in the cave of Sarura and hopes for the future.

Nicola Zambelli

Born in Brescia in 1981. He graduated in 2007 in hermeneutical philosophy with a thesis on narrative identity, in a comparison between philosophy, photography and documentary. In the same years he began working as a photographer and learned darkroom and digital photography techniques. He collaborates as a photographer and reporter (Lumina Edizioni, E-polis). He lived for two years in Sofia where he made several documentaries on the post-socialist transition in Bulgaria and Romania, a documentary on Istanbul and several correspondences for the Observatory on the Balkans. In Italy he works for different companies making corporate videos and documentaries, he realizes numerous works for Cgil and Acli. Since 2011 he has been working as a webtv editor for the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. For Smk Videofactory he takes care of filming, editing, graphics and communication.
