At the beginning of the 80's the discarded old metals coming from foreign countries started being carried to the Fengjiang town for dismantling. Migrant workers started working in Fengjiang for metal dismantling, acquiring a low income at the expenses of their health.
Dioxin pollution, detected in sorrounding soil by Chinese researchers, demonstrates the dangerousness of this business.
The independent director Guo Zangfu, born in 1983, lives in Beijing. His movies have been selected at numerous Chinese and international festivals. His "Coal Miner" has been selected at Brazilian XIV International Environmental Film Festival and at Greece International Environmental Film Festival.
