At the senior citizens centre Casa del Gufo, is staged the prize "Ortobello", first beauty contest for vegetable gardens. The duel becomes an excuse to recount the municipal urban gardens. The protagonists: Peppino, who is 84 years old and a widower for more than twenty years goes to the garden because he would not know where else to go to spend his time. Guido, retired truck driver who is ninety years old, in the garden smokes cigarettes on the sly from his wife. Luciano, the favourite to win the trophy  since his garden is perfectly organised.

Marco Landini, born in Bologna in 1972, is a freelance cameraman in the broadcast industry, with a passion for photography. "Dove osano le mucche", in 2010, is his first documentary.

Gianluca Marcon, born in Alessandria in 1974, after working as an analytical chemist in a factory, decided to study cinematography and moved to Bologna at the age of 27. After graduating from DAMS, he began working with cultural associations and made ​​several self-produced videos, including shorts, music videos and historical documentaries. "E noi ve lo diciamo" of 2011 is his first documentary.
