When the water ends
Evan Abramson | 2010 | USA | 16’ | hors concours
On the border between Kenya and Ethiopia, since thousands of years semi-nomadic shepherds have followed fresh water sources of the area: Omo River and Lake Turkana. But the impact of global warming has changed their lives: increased drought and decreased rain are fuelling violent conflicts on water and grazing lands.
Evan Abramson works as a photographer for newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic and Sunday Times. He is currently finishing the documentary Last Stand on the Island.
