Ilaria Santi, Silvia Corna | 2011 | Afghanistan | 12’
Being a woman in Afghanistan means to live a cultural and social marginal condition. The situation is much worst in the villages. Since 2008 Cesvi operates in the province of Herat, helping the most vulnerable categories, especially women. The aim of the project is to reinforce her professional skills through professional training courses and to support creation of a social co-operative. In November 2011 Ilaria Santi and Silvia Corna were in Herat in order to teach the use of the camera and basic editing techniques and photography to a group of young Afghan girls, who will form a cooperative for the production of films for ceremonies.
Ilaria Santi, lives in Milan where she has participated to the BONSAI TV start up, web tv of Endemol, and collaborates with CURRENT TV, YACHT&SAIL, DOVE TV. In 2009 she creates together with her friend and colleague Silvia Corna, the “SANTICORNA” production studio.
