Pokot Ash Yoghurt describes the life of the Pokot community in Tarsoi, that revolves around the production of yoghurt realized in the traditional way, using ashes. The final product is done with goat and cow milk and is mixed with the ashes of a local tree, the “cromwo”. The documentary follows Peter and John, two old students at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo (CN) that have contributed to the launching of the SlowFood protected area in 2009 and that at present coordinate the SlowFood network in Kenya.
