Which is the line between blackmail and slavery? This film tells us about the working condition of Indian Punjab in the Agro-Pontine countryside, South of Rome. The Cooperative Parsec and the Minister for equal opportunities have commissioned the documentary in order to investigate into the Indian workers exploitation in Latium Region and to point out the blackmail which causes the conspiracy and the lacking denunciations. The movie was selected at the Salina Narrative Doc Festival.
Simone Amendola worked with Citto Maselli and Ken Loach between 2004 and 2008. He wrote and directed Nessuno può tenere Baby in un angolo and Porta Furba (awarder at The Oreste Calabresi). In 2011 he participated to the 54th Biennale d’Arte in Venice with the video Narciso, realized with the Iraqi artist Ali Assaf. He is currently working on his first fiction.
