In Turin the Centre for Identification and Expulsion (CIE) does not go unobserved. It is placed in the middle of a perimeter of condominiums. Hundreds of Turin inhabitants look out their windows on the bars and curse the day when the prison ruined the reputation of the neighbourhood. Abderrahim on his balcony instead goes out to greet from above his ex-cell mates. After having done five months at the CIE, he has kept more friends inside than outside. And for them he attempts to do what he can. He interviews them through microphones of a local radio station, he brings them groceries, he participates in the garrisons against the CIE. In the hopes that they will not be expelled, but that Amir, Hassan, and Mahmoud are relaxed, waiting for better times.
