Come un uomo sulla terra

The direct voice of Ethiopian migrants on the brutal modality with which Libya is operating the control of migrations flows from Africa, thanks to the investments of Italy and Europe. Dag studied law in Addis Abeba, he decided to emigrate for the strong politic repression in his country. In the winter of 2005 he crossed the desert between Sudan and Libya, where he came across a series of misfortunes tied, not only the violence of smugglers that manage the journeys toward the Mediterranean, but also and above all the overpowered violence inflicted by the Libyan police, responsible of indiscriminate stops and inhuman deportations. “Come un uomo sulla terra” is a journey of grief and dignity, across which Dag gives voice to memory of human sufferance; about this matter Italy and Europe have responsibilities which can’t stay hidden any longer.
