Harraga
„Harraga“ is the way those people, who see themselves as a „lost generation“ are named all over the Maghrebian Countries. They rather except dying in the sea than deedless waiting in forced stagnation. Khaled’s and Ghabsi’s stories produce perspectives on migration that leave the viewer far away from a simplistic collective mass-experience the media often pictures. Because behind the „streams of refugees“ or the masses, against which Europe has to „protect“ itself, one can find personal fates and sufferings, which are not told or heard most of the time.
